About

What do you do?

It’s the unavoidable question that gets asked in casual conversation, at dinner, and around the holidays. Most people respond with ‘Systems Analyst’ or ‘Personal Trainer’. Without knowing it they avoid the question. In almost every case the title doesn’t explain what they actually do on a daily basis. So what do I do? I could say, ‘I’m an Entrepreneur’, or ‘I have an MBA’, or ‘I’m a Consultant’. But all those answers are trash.

The truth of the matter is that I do a lot of things, as I’m sure you do. First and foremost, I’m an entrepreneur. In 2007 I started Team Covenant, which at the time was an online retailer for tabletop games. Over time it became much, much more than that and is continuing to experience exceptional growth. The company opened a brick and mortar store located in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 17th, 2012. I am the CEO and my involvement with the company is primarily strategic.

I’m also involved with a healthcare startup that is looking to completely revolutionize the entire healthcare space. On top all of this, I do web development, web strategy consulting, and retail consulting. This includes building websites, figuring out how best to build an audience for those websites, and figuring out exactly where the website should position itself within it’s niche.

Do What You Love

What most people don’t realize is that no matter what it is you are into, there is a way to do it online that can be enjoyable and profitable. I started a website about collectible, tabletop games in and age dominated by mobile devices, consoles, and PC games. Sure, not everyone is going to find the site entertaining or useful, but to the people who really enjoy the social and physical aspects of tabletop games it’s great. All the while I get to spend a lot of my time thinking, writing, and playing games that I absolutely love to play.

Not every idea is a million dollar website, but at the end of the day having a blog or website dedicated to something you love is about something much bigger than making money. If you can make money on top of doing something you love, all the better.

I’ve helped quite a few people get started online. You can see a handful of the websites I’ve built under my work. If you have any questions or are interested in starting a website, feel free to visit the contact page.
